Coral head, Butterfly fish & Yellow & Pink Corals Maldives_759©JMC

Butterfly fish (chaetodon), known by many names, and others gather around a stony coral head (Acropora) which supports Yellow & Pink soft Corals (Alcyonaria). The picture paints a beautiful scene of pastels and bright colors against the blue seawater of the Indo-Pacific. One of my favorites, it decorates my wall at home. It was made at the edge of the reef drop-off, and while very stable, appears to lean against a fall.
