Highland Beach View, Cape Cod DSC_2245AS.jpg
Add to Lightbox DownloadThe eroding cliffs overlooking the surf zone on the Cape Cod National seashore allows a view of the beach far below. Currents move in the ocean blue. Footprints sit in the beach sand far below. The view from the Cape Cod Highlands is distant and abrupt. It is the high point of the Cape, as indicated by the name, and is eroding rapidly. Therefore, approaching the cliff edge is discouraged. The Highland lighthouse has already been moved in an effort to save it from the Atlantic.
