I made this image when we were leaving Casper, heading for the Grand Tetons, and decided to take a more direct back road instead of the highway. As I drove west, Poison Spider Road got narrower and less maintained. Clouds gathered ahead as a storm threatened. When the rain came, we discovered what road grease means. There is no traction at all. Eventually we reached a hill which was too slippery to climb and trying resulted in sliding toward the gutter. We spent the night awaiting the drying sun.
