Vermont Maple Syrup Taste Test

The taste test is highly personal. When comparing it to cane sugar, the goal was to have a light shade of syrup, but some prefer the richer B grades, like some prefer dark beer. A bad year, influenced by weather and other factors, can produce a more bitter syrup. Vermont Maple Syrup is a New England Tradition learned from the Indigenous Native Americans.
