Add to LightboxA vibrant red Rose Anemone sits in the foreground with red urchins (Mesocentrotus franciscanus) and lovely, large, white Plumose Anemones (Metridum farcimem/ giganteum). These Plumose Anemones reach a meter in height. In comparison, the White-spotted Rose Anemone (Urticina lofotensis) in the foreground grows to 10 inches. Red Urchins (Mesocentrotus franciscanus) are scattered about. This image was made on a large rock reef in Staples Cut, British Columbia, Canada.
