Add to Lightbox DownloadThe Great Shearwater (Ardenna gravis) is one of the largest shearwaters at a 18" body length. This seabird has a black-capped head with a white collar. They run on the water as they take off. The smaller Manx Shearwater is similar in looks to the Audubon's Shearwater, also seen in the North Atlantic.
