Sunrays Through Bull Kelp BC-UW©JMC_142.jpg
Add to Lightbox DownloadSunlight streams through the water in this kelp forest off Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The sun rays are dreamy looking as they shine through the aqua and turquoise water. Nereocystis is Greek for "mermaid's bladder" and refers to the bulbous air bladder which suspends the Bull Kelp fronds near the surface.
