Endangered Right Whale, Race Point 379JC1x2©JMacCausland'11.
Add to LightboxA Critically Endangered Northern Right Whale is observed off Cape Cod sifting zooplankton through its baleen. It is estimated that there are fewer than 400 living today. Heavy and slow moving, they are at constant risk of colliding with ships or lobster and fishing gear, and so their numbers are declining.
