Each year, half a million horseshoe crabs are harvested and bled alive to create a biomedical technology for detecting bacterial endotoxins. This image was accepted into the Plymouth Center for the Arts & the Southeastern Massachusetts Pine Barrens Alliance's exhibition: "Horseshoe Crab: Against All Odds", June 2024.
