Two Atlantic Longfin Squid (Logigo pealei) are communicating about a Fish Caught by the one in the foreground. Their Chromataphores are flashing like neon lights...communication by light. A juvenile 3" Squid has captured a "shiner", a small fish, for dinner at night. Calamari got to eat, too! Rhode Island for over 50 percent of north east squid landings, amounting to 7 million pounds of squid last year, says the RI Providence journal, October 9, 2015 accounts. Squid.
