Add to LightboxI was close enough to see the whites of the eyes when this startled Moose looks over the brush at me on a trail at Western Brook, Newfoundland. Moose are not native to Newfoundland, but four were brought over for hunting and they are now abundant. Their last predatory wolf was shot, and so they have no natural control.
