Fall Morning Reflections in Raynham JMC_9952V
Add to LightboxThe first time I noticed just how stunning the fall reflection was after returning from a six month road trip to Alaska and back. The trip was fantastic, yielding many good photographs, but I missed the fall foliage of home. Yellow Aspens are lovely, but Red Maples and Birch can’t be beat. The challenge was to compose an image that held together and was not too busy. I decided on a long lens instead of a wide angle for this landscape. I think the perfection of the reflection and the placement of the horizon help to achieve this. The broad light direction accentuates and defines the details while allowing a near black background. Absence can make the heart grow fonder and the eye fresh.
