The ferry system along the inside passage from The state of Washington to Haines, Alaska is an adventure. I would say the BC ferries are better kept up, and on schedule. Still it is a very scenic and affordable trip. Just allow for schedule changes and go with the flow. The scenery along the Inside passage is dramatic. Mountains rise up from the the sparkling water and fishing boats pass by on their way to the fishing grounds. Interesting harbors pop up along the way and side trips invite exploration to Native villages. Alaska is the land of the midnight sun, and as we traveled north, the sky was seldom dark.
