The Stone sheep (Ovis dalli stonei) in Summit Lake Provincial Park & Stone Lake Provincial park were there in part to lick the road salt off the highway. Their curious nature makes them easy prey to hunters, It is theorized that the extensive hunting of the bucks with the best horns is weakening the gene pool. This one has severely deformed horns, impacting his lower jaw. Blood can be seen dripping down his jaw..
