A swan runs across a still pond to become airborne, showing his wings and underside reflected perfectly amongst fall foliage. The great, heavy bird looks into the camera's eye as he passes. "Mute Swan Taking off in Fall Foliage" received top scores in the New England Camera Club Council, Fall 2021. It was also more recently included in the Wickford Art Association's "Fur, Feathers and Fins" October 2022 Gallery show, where it leapt off the walls.
