A coy and curious Black Bass looks at the camera with one eye while watching his back with the other. This is an example of monocular vision. At night these bass are easily approached as they rest on the bottom. The black sea bass (Serraninae)is a ray-finned marine fish, related to groupers and anthias. They may reach 26" and 9 pounds.
