Buck Moon Rising over Hyannis Ferry JMC_7116DYCTOPDNZ

We scrambled to find a Cape Cod beach from which to view the Buck Moon rise this July. First, we went to Sandy Neck, but I had forgotten the array of RVs parked there during the summer, and I knew the moon would rise looking down the length of the beach, so Ed and I crossed over to Craigville Beach where I quickly set up my heavy, long lens and hoped my estimation of where it would be was correct. I captured the Hyannis Ferry leaving port as the red moon lifted out of the fog. The long exposure captures the ferry lights bumping along the rough water as she heads out in the Blue Hour. It was a moving subject, unlike so many lighthouse and moon images. Let me know what you think of the affect?
