Firehole Canyon Sculptures DSC_1709ASC

Erosion has sculpted some beautiful formations in the landscape of southern Montana. Dark cumulous clouds pass behind them while the late day sun lights them low down. Firehole Canyon is 29 miles south of Rock Springs, just north of the Utah border. Most of Flaming Gorge Reservoir in the Ashley National Forest is in Utah, as the terrain looks.
