red-backed salamander (Plethodon cinereus)

I hold a red-backed salamander (Plethodon cinereus), which I have found in woods by a vernal pool in Seekonk, Massachusetts. They are hardy but very delicate, so it is good they can regenerate a limb. It is kind to handle them with wet hands.
