Add to LightboxOnce common in eelgrass beds off Massachusetts, the Atlantic bay scallops are seen less frequently because of over catch and habitat loss. They grow to 3" as compared to the less colorful Atlantic deep-sea Scallop which grows more than twice as large. They are photographed on pink marble.
