Red Sea Cucumber (Cucunmaria miniata) DSC_7356FL
Add to LightboxA Red Sea Cucumber (Cucunmaria miniata) and a small white one below stick out from a crevice in the rocks. The sea cucumbers are soft bodied and so hide in cracks or sand. Notice the tube feet along the body similar to a sea star's tube feet. Here the echinoderm uses these feet to creep higher into the current to feed.
