A dragonfly is caught by the camera flying over the banks of Crater Lake, Oregon, on a beautiful, sunny afternoon. It is a long-time sleeping volcano. Wizard Island, the cone formed by smaller eruptions in the lake, can be seen near the center of this photograph. As the caldera has filled with snow and rain, only about 2% of Wizard Island is above lake level now. Crater Lake is located on what has been known as Mount Mazama.
