Nudibranch on Kelp BCUW©JMC'10_196
Add to LightboxThis Thick-horned Nudibranch (Hermissenda Crassicornus) is a soft-bodied marine mollusks or sea slug. Nudibranchs, meaning "naked gills" or "naked lungs", are snails without shells. They breathe through their pretty frills called cerata. Nudibranchs are also simultaneous hermaphrodites, allowing them to mate with any like species they encounter. This one was found at a dive site called Hussar Point, BC.
