UWNE_Perky Flounder
Add to LightboxA Winter Flounder (Pseudopleuronectes americannus) is perched up on its pectoral fin for a raised perspective of the ocean floor. This is a common behavior of flounders. Winter Flounder are right-eyed flounders. They have puffy, white lips. They can weigh over eight pounds. Flounder chiefly feed on clams, shrimps and worms. Flounder can adjust their appearance to match the surrounding sea bed.
