Striped Bass are anadromous fishes. They migrate from the ocean to spawn in the brackish upper reaches of the estuaries and river mouths. Many of the Stiped Bass in New England come from the Chesapeake Bay area, but some spawn in the Connecticut river. They have been recorded to be over 70 pounds,
