Sunset in Motion - "Beach Stripes" JMC_4937ASC

A stiped abstract/minimalist seascape was created by careful planning and panning the camera during a long exposure. I had to calculate the position of the sun and the time when the tide was low at sunset on this Cape Cod beach. Then I had to set up the tripod to be level and proceed to take many photographs moving the camera in a smooth manner. This image was included in the Plymouth Art Center, MA. show "The Art of Photography" 2022, May. I was told that this image competed with my other image for 2nd place, but a person can only have one award.
