Add to LightboxNorth American Lobster (Homarus americanus) lobster season in Newfoundland is shorter than in New England. They put their traps away early and resume crabbing, at greater depths, using a different trap which has a lot of rope. Climate change is moving lobsters farther north, and this will undoubtedly affect the rhythms of the fishermen.
