Add to LightboxA hard coral in the subclass Hexacorallia forms a conical shape in Andros. The arms of nocturnal crinoid reach out from the underside. Andros Island is located in the Bahamas in the Atlantic Ocean. The 140 mile barrier reef of Andros is the world's sixth longest. The reef is typically 1 –2 miles from shore so boat diving is the norm.
