Hooded Nudibranch Front BC©JMC_067
Add to LightboxThis translucent Hooded Nudibranch or Lion Nudibranch (Melibe leonina) has a distinctive and pleasent scent of a fresh lemon. It clings to kelp in calm bays, but also can swim by undulation. The Hood closes & opens to feed. The most difficult part of making these images was in finding an isolated specimen, as there were so many.
