Add to LightboxAn Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) Butterfly feeds on magenta garden Phlox. Adults feed frequently from Asters and peas or legumes but seen here on Phlox. The larva feed on various plants such as willow, black cherry lilac and often those in the rose family. There are several color morphs of this Tiger swallowtail. Their wingspan is 3.5 -5,5" wide.
