I think I got too close to this wild beast. A large wild Alligator stares up from the black Okefenokee backwater in Georgia, USA. American Alligators can weigh over 1200 pounds and reach a length of nearly 15 feet. They are in the Crocodilian Phylum. They can run up to 35 MPH.
