Add to LightboxA collection of translucent golden yellow and orange Jingle shells has been arranged to fill the camera's rectangular view on a light box. In some areas, where there is more dark sediment in the water, Jingle Shells are a dark sliver color. Some people call them "baby's feet" for the pattern on top near the hinge. A live animal lives its life attached to a rock or other substrate by strong byssal threads from a hole in its base valve or shell. Like muscles, they are filter feeders.
