Luna moth (Actias luna) on Maple ©JM'14_ 143Cldy
Add to LightboxA lime green Luna Moth (Actias luna) has freshly emerged. It's life as a moth will be short. They have no mouthparts with which to eat. Their purpose now is to mate. Nature survives in spite of us. This one crawled out of the leaves neglected last fall.
