A fragile, wooden Civil War Wreck rests on the shallow, sandy bottom in Pennekamp National Park in the upper Florida Keys. Acting as an artificial reef, it attracts a full spectrum of marine life. A large sea fan and a finger sponge shaped like a candelabra grow out of the center of the Civil War Wreck. Striped Grunts gather under cover of the sponge.
